Operations Manager

1998  to Present– Operations Manager, E80 Plus Constructors, LLC, DeForest, WI.
Responsibilities include working with customers to determine repair priorities on projects; managing staff of engineers, project managers, and field crews; estimating and submitting bids/proposals for bridge repair projects; conducting bridge inspections; designing jacking schemes and bridge repairs.

1983 – 1998 – Manager of Engineering, Osmose Railroad Division, Madison, WI.
Responsibilities included estimating and submitting bids/proposals for bridge repair projects; conducting bridge inspections and preparing reports; designing bridge jacking schemes, bridge repairs, and rebuilds; managing staff of engineers.

Engineering Manager

Responsibilities include estimating and submitting bids/proposals for bridge repair projects; conducting bridge inspections and preparing reports; designing jacking schemes and bridge repairs; crew management of technically difficult projects.

1992 – 1998 – Project Engineer, Osmose Railroad Division, Madison, WI.
Responsibilities included estimating and submitting bids/proposals for bridge repair projects; conducting bridge inspections and preparing reports; crew management.

1991 – Asst. Project Engineer, Edward Kraemer and Sons, Inc., Plain, WI.  
Responsibilities included falsework design and construction; concrete form design and construction; precast concrete deck slab closure pour design and construction.

1980 – 1998 – Project Manager, Osmose Railroad Division, Madison, WI.
Responsibilities included assisting in estimating concrete/steel bridge repair projects; procurement of materials and equipment rentals for concrete/steel bridge repair projects; direct management of field crews; progress reports of various repair projects, including weekly accruals.

1998 to Present – Project Manager, E80 Plus Constructors, LLC, DeForest, WI.  Responsibilities include working with customers to determine repair priorities on concrete/steel bridges; assist in repair recommendations and cost estimating of concrete/steel bridge repair bids/proposals, procurement of materials and equipment rentals for concrete/steel bridge repair projects; direct management of field crews, including training in the issues of track worker safety, OSHA/FRA regulations, fall protection.

Responsibilities include managing technically difficult bridge repair projects, designing bridge repairs and shoring systems; analyzing existing structures for strength and fatigue requirements; inspecting timber, concrete, and steel bridges and preparing reports; attending bid showings and assisting in project estimating.
